Visit to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

A 15 hour bus ride took us from Nairobi to Dar Es Salaam. The sights on the way were breathtaking, and we were impressed with the fact that we were able to travel by road from one country to the next, something which is not possible even within Congo. Tanzania reminded us a lot of India, both with the temperature and tropical vegetation, and especially now with rickshaws streaming the streets in Dar Es Salaam.

A little glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro

Dar is predominantly Muslim

Rickshaws reminded us so much of India

Impressive baobab

Some of the volunteers from the "Side by Side" mission team in Dar, who is conducting Bible study groups and doing a very inspiring work with a local orphanage, as you can see in the video.

Our old friends, Rob and Mary, veteran missionaries from India, now in Tanzania for almost 15 years, have founded and are running two schools for underpriviledged children and doing an amazing work for the Lord.
