Last AID Awareness Seminar in Kwazulu Natal

Before leaving for the DRC, we wanted to hold one last seminar with Andras in Kwazulu Natal, at St Leo School in Molweni. The 460 children were very receptive, thorougly enjoyed the eye catching activities and word pictures, and all prayed with us to receive the One Who can help them to stay on the straight and narrow.
We were able to give them a basic but memorable foundation on how to handle peer pressure, how to pull others up to your level, how to set goals for yourself and not get pulled down by risky behavior, and thus keep yourself free from distractions that could lead you to getting infected by AIDs.

Magic trick: The colored liquids activity demonstrates how risky behavior can easily influence someone who is undecided, but how someone with strong convictions can actually help influence others for good.

Peer Pressure: This exercise demonstrates how much easier it is to pull someone down than to pick someone up to your level.

Balloons activity: The bright enticing colored balloons represent risky behavior and their sad consequences. The "boring white balloon" represents sticking to your convictions in order to fulfill your dreams and staying out of risky actitivities.

The principal asked us to hold a similar seminar for the parents, so they can re-inforce the principles we taught the children that day.
